I am a woman whose life is a tapestry of varying seasons and titles – Pastor’s wife, army mom, working woman, sister, friend. But the title that motivates this blog is the one I will wear for eternity – Child of God.
Here are the particulars as of July 2011 – I am 43 years old and have been married for 25 years. My husband and I pastor a church of about 110 people in Columbia City, Indiana (population 8,000), and have been here for 13 1/2 years. I have two sons: My oldest son joined the US Army Infantry in February of this year and was married on June 12. We are anticipating deployment before the end of the year. My younger son graduated from high school 1-1/2 years early and joined the US Army Airborne Rangers in May of this year and will be in training until approximately Thanksgiving. After 25 years of helping everyone else be all they could be (and not regretting any of it), I am now ready to be who I am meant to be. Only thing is… I don’t yet know what that is. Therefore, I will call this journey “becoming myself.”
